Welcome to UMMail UMMail services is owned and maintained by the University of Malaya. It is an official email application system provided to all staff of University of Malaya. Your use of UMMail web site application and services (referred to collectively as the “Services” in this document) is subject to the terms and conditions between you and UMMail. In order to use the Services, you must agree to the Terms and Conditions. As UMMail users, you are considered to accept all the terms and conditions below: |

| 1. | Use of the Services In order to access certain Services, you may be required to provide information about yourself (such as Identification and Salary No, or Contact details) as part of the registration process for the Service, or as part of your continued use of the Services. You agree that any registration information you give to UMMail will always be accurate, correct and up to date. You agree that you will not engage in any activity that interferes with or disrupts the Services (or the servers and networks which are connected to the Services). |

| 2. | Your password and account security You will receive a password and account designation upon completing the Service's registration process. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the password and account and are fully responsible for all activities that occur under your password or account. You agree to : a) immediately notify UMMail Administrator of any unauthorized use of your password or account or any other breach of security, and b) ensure that you exit from your account at the end of each session. You agree and understand that you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of passwords associated with any account you use to access the Services Accordingly, you agree that you will be solely responsible to UMMail for all activities that occur under your account. |

| 3. | Prohibited Actions
You agree NOT to use the Service to: a) upload, post, email, transmit or otherwise make available any Content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, tortious, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libelous, invasive of another's privacy, hateful, or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable; b) upload, post, email, transmit or otherwise make available any unsolicited or unauthorized advertising, promotional materials, "junk mail," "spam," "chain letters," "pyramid schemes," or any other form of solicitation, except in those areas (such as shopping) that are designated for such purpose; c) upload, post, email, transmit or otherwise make available any material that contains software viruses or any other computer code, files or programs designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware or telecommunications equipment; d) Create multiple user accounts in connection with any violation of the Agreement or create user accounts by automated means or under false or fraudulent pretenses e) Conduct or forward pyramid schemes and the like f) Impersonate another person (via the use of an email address or otherwise) or otherwise misrepresent yourself or the source of any email g) Illegally transmit another's intellectual property or other proprietary information without such owner's or licensor's permission h) Promote or encourage illegal activity i) Transmit content that may be harmful to minors j) Use UMMail to violate the legal rights (such as rights of privacy and publicity) of others |

| 4. | Account Inactivity a) Your UMMail account is valid while you is UM’s staff. b) Your account will be terminate immediately after you have finished your service in University of Malaya |

| 5. | Changes To The Terms UMMail Administrator reserves the right to revise its policies at any time. If any part of these terms and conditions or any associated Acceptable Use Policies shall be held invalid or unenforceable, this shall not affect the enforceability of any other part of these terms and conditions and Acceptable Use Policies. |

| 6. | Miscellaneous
UMMail Administrator shall not be held responsible for any loss however caused resulting from any suspension or unavailability of any service. You are responsible for any material stored on our servers. We shall not be held responsible for any loss, however caused, of this material.
